Glad you like Summon in Thunder.
Tips? Story is good so far, seems bit cliche but I hope you can break free once it gets going. Narratives are hard to do and not sound cheesy. Also, contrast is probably a good thing to work on. There's tons of good coloring tutorials out there, so you can google some. But shadowing needs to be a bit sharper if you are using that alone. Also to make some cooler effects do this.
For fire: Make a new layer above your art and lines. Set the layer to "linear dodge" and then use a RED/ORANGE color and just brush it over the painted fire. It will look tons better, trust me.
Tips on my style? It's a culmination of things I've learned over the years. Ive only been drawing comics seriously since 2004, and coloring for 8 years...so it's just lots of practice and study.
AIM is sludger2020 if you need any other help.
Hey, thanks for reading Zom-Ben.
Your story seems to be starting off well. Some constructive criticism? I would suggest a sharper contrast in the shading for your colours, and perhaps a more dynamic font. You can get lost of cheap as free ones over at dafont.com. Also, left align is fine for narrative boxes, but you should always have a centre alignment in speech balloons.
Promising start to a story. Interesting concept of someone who wants to fight, but can't see the purpose anymore. Your storytelling is engaging, your drawing may still need a bit of work - but that's the same for all of us. Considering the fact that it takes almost as long to learn to draw as it used to take to learn to use a crow quill to write, you might want to consider using 3D ;o)

Iron bands, huh? Well, I guess Iron Fist has taken a patent out on focusing your chi into a fireball hand.

I like the origin sequence...every good hero comic needs one.
