Victor Hugo You Are Doomed.

Now I'll be honest with you guys. I never finished reading The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. I read up till around the part after Gringoire is saved by/married to Esmerelda and he tries to sleep with her and she gets all badass and threatens him with a knife and he's like “fine whatever” and sulks. Then I got sidetracked by schoolwork and other books and projects and I never got back to it…

But The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is AMAZING and there are so many things wrong with the Disney film.

But I'm NOT one of those people who hates all Disney films ‘cause they’re so inaccurate. If you actually know anything about the original Mulan story, the movie is about ten times more inaccurate than Hunchback; and being the Greek Myth nerd that I am, I can't watch Hercules without turning off the part of my brain that knows anything about anything at all. But those are all fun to watch at least, and they make great kids films! Hunchback makes negative-zero-sense. No matter how much you change the story, it's still totally inappropriate for a kids flick! Whose idea was this?! What're they on?! Does not compute! Does not compute!

That's all.

Have a great weekend, guys!
