Hey everyone!

I thought maybe people would like to know and maybe have a chance at earning some money with their art aside their usual commissions.

My publishing house is launching an art contest based on my book (yay!) by putting up two scenes from it for artists to illustrate either one. There are four categories each with a first prize to be won!

The first prize is 300 euro and there are prizes for second and third place, too.

Anyway, I'd love it if anyone decided to take part, and I thought you might like the chance to look at it :)

I'd do it but we'd lose and besides that I can't spend Euros. Soda machines don't take em.

I didn't know Greece uses the Euro currency :O

This sounds like a fun contest, but I think this will be far from my reach to even attempt… the art for AoV is already professional-quality as it is, I can't even imagine the amount of high-quality entries you will probably get if you haven't gotten some already.

Damn child prodigies.. lol

But what if someone from another country did win? Would they have the currency converted to their country's currency? or is this contest only open to the Euro people?

Yea, I'd give it a shot, but I doubt I'm anywhere close to the calibur to compete x.x;;

As I understand it, for people outside the Euro they would get the equivalent amount in dollars or whatever currency the country of the winner uses.

But yeah, ditto Vega's question… can I do just one painting, or do I need to make an actual comic with… y'know, panels and shiz? :)

Oh wow this sounds awesome. I would totally join if I didn't suck so very hard. But I do have a friend who could pull it off. I think I'll get him in on it if that's cool.
