Vigilantes are townies with weapons you could say. And a lynch is a group effort to get a mafia member. BK has the role descriptions posted on the sign up thread.

I still think there is a vast underwater conspiracy here, but I don't know if it has anything to do with the mob, its more like a sub-conspiracy.

The paramedics and detective should really cooperate with the townies to minimize the loss of life tonight. Otherwise, 4 people could end up dead in the morning.

well there are 4 mafias so assuming the vigalante doesn't do anything 4 (about that) people will killed as the mobsters try to get our numbers down

Good point. Either that, or our vigilante will turn out to be incredibly competent and kill all 4 mafias in one night. I'm not sure if that would be good or bad, though. On the one hand, we would be victorious and the mafias would be dead(Though I can't say for sure who “we” or “the mafias” are at this point) but on the other hand, that would be anticlimactic.

In case you haven't figured this out, you can't just randomly become a vigilante. There's only one, and Black_Kitty already chose who that is.

How hard is it to read the rules? You might as well blurt out your role the way things are going right now. Here's the basics:
1. During the day, townies can vote to lynch one person (two if mayor allows).
2. During the night, the each member of the mafia can kill one person (they know each other, so every kill will be against the townies).
3. Roles were assigned before the beginning of the game via PQ. Research your role (in previous posts by Black_Kitty) to see what you can and can't do.
4. Anyone, mafioso or townie, can be elected mayor/pardoner. Ozone and skool are the current mayor and pardoner, respectively.
5. At this point, there is no sure way for townies to figure out who is whom regarding roles (unless you've been notified by either the narrator or through your own special abilities due to your role). All mafia members know each other.

Personally, I think it'd be hilarious if the first person to die was humorman. Seems he'd be the type the mafia would kill first if he wasn't a part of them… mostly because of his much more logical thinking compared to almost everyone in the topic.
