It's not watching her drift away that's the worst part, nor is it the once warm touch of her hand. It's not the looks she's giving other men, or the growing silence between us. What's really destroying me is, that as I watched the first cracks in the earth that showed my small world crumbling, I knew of no way to stop its spread. And as she gets farther away, I know of no way to bring her back.
