Egg-zackly right! Plus she's got other issues to deal with. You'll see on page 14 tomorrow.
Got a real treat for you folks--I'm bumping the pace up to a page a day til Sept 1st, so you'll get daily updates on the first issue.
Got my reasons, just enjoy.
I think out erstwhile heroine has decided that she has gone for bad to worse, plus she's probably rather weak and hungry not having eaten for a day or ten along with her muscles starting to deteriorate due to lack of use. It's called disuse atrophy, our Astronauts and Cosmonauts use various exercise machines to reduce this during weightlessness. *Going back to my hole now to enjoy the series more Ma'am.*
Heh! If I hadn't tuned the story one bit since I wrote it in 1980 that would make me a ...prodigy....
...or it would make this one hell of a very vivid past life recollection. ;)
This part...? Slightly...
the scene where Villam and Peter rescue Tara has been redone a little. The original sketches involved a police firefight between Vill and Pete and Tara's pursuers aboard a starship as the boys grabbed her and shot their way free, then teleported out and arrived in Dion's office to announce the rescue of a wirehead. Not too practical actually.
On the other side of the coin, as far as character development, for starters I wasn't out of the closet at age 16, and yet the tension between three of the characters was laughably already there. In this rewrite 30 years later, I can let'er rip.
The story is still taking place right now on a medical outpost orbiting some planet in the Alpha Centauri system, but the science is now more like hard science than a ripping scifi/fantasy jaunt.
But I do like the breakneck action pace, so I'll make sure to keep that a part of the series. ;)
(Glides out of the shadowed corner)
Excellent storyline, but I meant to ask if you have "tuned" the story a little from when you first wrote it?
(Glides back into shadowed corner before anything is thrown in that direction)
No, it's not frowned upon in the 3D community to give characters realistic textures: that would have a lot to do with the artists' skill level.
I've used dirt, blood, mud, bruises, scars and every other type of special effect in my stories.
Realism comes with skill. I'm not tooting my own horn, but that's just the fact. 3D comics have a bit more realism than when I started doing this in 2007, but we've a long way to go. I do kind of enjoy being one of the forerunners and intend to keep it that way.
Love the glass special effects !
Often wondered why 3d comic makers never 'dirty up' the shineyness of the poser characters with decayed texture/low opacity colour layers? Is it something that is frowned upon in the 3d community? :s

It's gonna take her a while to get her "sea legs" back.

But the basic premise of the series has not really changed a bit. The details have only been fine-tuned over 30 years.

Got a character coming up shortly whose skin tone is brick red--she's an Alpha Centaurian according to my notes. You'll meet her in a couple pages.
