This page gets MY kudos for lighting, that's for sure. Adrian and Najimi are sitting on the sidewalk outside the messhall, so the lights were tricky. The blue lights for the night sky, and the spotlight inside the dining hall played very nice contrast.
It's as realistic as I could get it. It's lighting more than cameras that makes or breaks a good CGI render. Between scenes like this and some of the things I'm doing in later issues (I'm working on 15-18 as we speak), I'd have to say I've learned my lessons well, but I work on a low-memory 32 bit computer. My best work has yet to be seen. ;)

Yeah, 32. It was late when I wrote that. :/ Yes, it is touching. I've dealt with some troubled kids in my time. It's a challenge to write about their experiences--fictional character or not--in a realistic fashion without being graphic and disturbing.
