The Calm Before the Storm: New Faces in Town.

Thanks must go to Chameleon Kid for helping me with this strip. I am so busy right now that I barely have time to do the regular comic. You see, I am working on a special AROTD week-long update of art, and I am taking Nigbun's suggestion and trying to learn some shading to make these well-drawn scenes look even better. It has not been easy for me, but with the Kid's gracious assistance I have been able to persevere! Fear not, the comic will not miss an update so long as I am alive! (But if all this crazy shading kills me, then I make no promises.)

Also, I'd like to apologize for some of the general wretchedness in the third panel. It's all Chameleon Kid's fault, I swear! An integral piece of artist equipment broke down (i.e. was destroyed) while Kid was finishing up on this one and that is why Ben turned out all weird looking. Fortunately Kid has taken precautions against that ever happening again and is now learning to draw the old-fashioned (i.e. cheap) way (i.e. using a #2 pencil and a leaky ballpoint pen).

And on a final note, today's incentive for commenting is a mind cookie! That's right, I've baked up some fresh mind cookies to give away, and trust me, they're delicious! XD
