Anger over alternate timelines is a complicated thing, you can end up blaming people for things that never happened. Even going back in time to kill baby Hitler makes you the murderer of an innocent child.

Ah I understand. Much like Spencer had a dream for Warmwind; Warmwind had a dream for Thermal. The day he fought Fate and Destiny over Thermal being a Reaper was also the day he was fighting for his dream. When he dreamed Lana into existence, Warmwind was trying to make that dream come true. Which in truth is both unfair to Thermal and Lana. Thermal resents Lana because she represents the life Warmwind wanted for Thermal, for being part of the son he wanted; not the son he has. As for Lana, she isn't even suppose to exist; her memories are of a past that never happened. That can be cruel in the right circumstances. I just hope Spencer, Sky, Warmwind and Kite pick up on this and make them both feel loved and wanted.

Personally, I feel like it does. It conveys how Lana came about when she obviously doesn't fit anywhere near the current cannon, while also allowing her to be Warmwind's daughter. It explains Thermal's view on her in a way that's both well articulated and suitable for a child's viewpoint. And, to top it all off, it has a suggestion that Lana may be a reproduction of Thermal's potential daughter, reproduced through Warmwind after discovering the long-term issues formed by actively preventing Thermal taking up the scythe.

@ hkmaly: We know nothing about that timeline, but "a butterflies wing flaps can start a hurricane". A "small" divergence causes a larger one down the line. That, in turn, causes a third. And a fourth. It wouldn't take all that long for everything to be fundamentally different between the two timelines. Different actions, different attitudes, different interactions between people, that one small change would have changed ALOT.

I'm not trying to rebuff you merely add my cents to your thoughts. Simply that Warmwind really tried to prevent Thermal from taking up the scythe. He didn't give up because he realized the issues, but because he simply couldn't overcome destiny. Warmwind desperately wanted his dream for Thermal to come true. The possible future with Lana's existence was the closest to reality that Warmwind could get to that dream. So he fixated on her in a gambit to bring the future where she existed to life. As we know his gambit failed; he brought her to life,but failed to bring that possible future along with her.
