suicide is relatively common in Greek myths…it up there with being turned into a tree and eaten as ways to die in myth.. if you dig around in mythology enough you find several of Zeus children and lovers took there own lives.. so I see that as something that would effect how Zeus would react to Lan.. and Lans ongoing mental funk.

Right, when I asked if Davy Jones was a god, I meant in general as the way the comic's world works. Davy Jones seems to be treated as an immortal being in marytime folklore. With saliors being killed at sea due to drowning or shipwrecked being sent to Davy Jone's Locker. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Jones%27_Locker) There is even an old tradition where when crossing the equatorial line, where the assistant of Neptune was Davy Jones

davy jones role of collector of the dead falls more closely in line with Ran.. a Norse god that collected those who died at sea and wasn't very nice about it... what he was suppose to do is closer to the actions of Charon.. the boatman of the river sticks.. one ancient source puts one of the gates to the underworld 90 days travel to the west from the pillars of Hercules which put it in the Caribbean.. at a place called the island of flowers.. n the blood of Olympus books the write using the same source puts it in California... so my math might be off.. as Neptune left the dead to hades.. Jones would most likely be the inheritor of Rans job in the world of a little more.. as both a collector of the dead and a sea god... which might explain why Warmwind was glad to see the under water dead had been collected by his staff already..

He been considering his actions.. and at this point he is sober.. lan turned all the wine into vinegar going on 48 hours ago.. it most likely the first time he has been sober for years
