@Dragonfire Hound can act as a sub, anyways for water worlds, they just need to be able to deploy a floating platform, or even airbags, Beagle is designed to do it regularly, and once they start colonizing, they'd need to be able to move a lot of people and material from Earth

@ddagonfire infered from the past few pages, we know the two with her are Sky's sisters, and regardless of desired outcome they don't want the poor girl panicking, so she's being escorted by an immediate family member.

A connection FINNALY occurred to me, Beagle (Arula's ship as seen in MM) is clearly designed for water landing, this can afford it higher lift off mass, but the various Fae held territories seem to be land locked. Beagle only makes sense with a seaport to operate from. Bigger picture from what we've seen the Dragons in general don't have a lot of technical industry, presumably mostly magic and transport related. This means they might not have their own space program and would have to rely on others in that department. Also money has a funny way of getting people to ignore their isolationist/xenophobic agendas.

@Dragonfire we simply dont have enough info on the specifics of the politics. However in terms of any compromise between cultural rules, the Fae equivalent of Dragon clans would likely be nest/house, the Fae have clans Iron, Bone and Summer, but they act more as major political parties than extended familial groups with joint political power. A sire claim essentially does the same thing as a marriage would, without explicitly promoting her mating with a non-dragon, making the result more agreeable to the Northwinds, provided they get a beneficial business arrangement out of it. The Fae lack planet side space for warehouses and vehicles, they have a hangar that can accommodate a handful of ships at Skyadder, possibly a few other outposts and bases, and presumably something in Egypt where Habibah is from, Northwinds have underutilized ports.

Ugh, child brides have always been a horrible thing. Throwback to the ancient legacy of women being property instead of people. I hope the shell game switch works out. Perhaps someone sneaky will shape-shift into a clone of the girl until it's too late.

@Dragonfire, Chinook may be a 3rd party enforcer, not part of either clan involved in the exchange. Of Lan's surviving children, only those whom were adults or near adults when the war started aren't hidden, of those we only know of one buck. However a marriage isn't necessary, either they treat the interference as a favor to be repaid, or the Fiveclaws adopt her. From the Pooka side of things, she'd trigger the "all kits are my kits" from the Dragon side that'd functionally satisfy the same sort of clan ties.
