Thedevice in panel three is modeled after the one in the 1960 film adaptation of HG Wells' The Time Machine. I always thought that it was a nifty looking vehicle.

I think it's kind of amazing that I waited two hundred pages before writing a story where Air Raid Robertson and Ridley travel through time. I have no idea how I found the restraint.
