Thanks, GZ was one of my first and took way longer than it does these days I can tell you.
Yeah there's a bit of a gap in time between GZ and this, I worked on a couple of others. I'm okay with it art wise but it was a rush job really.
I read alot of old manga yes I draw alot from Shotaro Ishinmori and Go Nagai as well.
Yes I know exactly what you mean, backgrounds for me are an important part of the atmosphere which should also mesh with the characters.
Thanks for the ratings and the awesome comments! Muchly appreciated.
Just found your comic and read the archives.
Although Ground Zero was very rough, it was still a pleasant read and I could tell that you put a lot of effort in it.
As for this short, I can see a drastic improvement. Everything looks much clearer, the lines look sharper, and the lettering looks much better (I get picky about lettering). I love how reminiscent this is of old manga. I can clearly see your Tezuka influence not only from your style, but from your bold line use. It's refreshing to see. I also have to comment on the fact that you don't shy away from backgrounds. On the contrary, they really feel like they belong there. Know what I mean?
Anyways, can't wait to see more :D
