This was posted in my regular Antcomics section too. Just decided to stick it here too for uh…consistency er whatever. It's cool to get fan art during “Ants Downtime!”
Here we have a brilliant strip, drawn by Ringoko and NanKanComics, a team of two very artistic sisters who give me so much fan art it knocks my socks off. Ring is at Deviantart only; NanKan has an account both there and here at DD.
Here is Ringoko's description, as she wrote in her comments at DA:
" drew it and I colored it with colored pencils. The story behind this: Nankan was having an art block and asked me what she should draw. So I suggested that she draw her favorite Ant, Gary. Now she was on a chocolate high that night and I had called Gary a she repeatedly (this was back before I read the Ant comics and I thought Gary was a girl because he looked like one to me). Anyhow, I suggested she draw Gary in a dress (since I thought he looked like a girl). Nankan laughed at the idea as she envisioned it and I encouraged her by saying the dress should be hot pink and that the one of the Ants had put the dress on Gary after a night of heavy drinking."
