A famous painter of nobility, Vigee-Leburn is best known for her paintings of Queen Antoinette. Over the course of six years, Vigee-Leburn would go onto paint over thirty portraits of the queen. During the French revolution, Antoinette was executed and Vigee-Leburn fled to foreign counties to paint other nobles. In her lifetime, Vigee-Leburn is believed to have painted over nine hundred painting.
