13 - Avengians, Prepare For Glory!

Getting closer and closer to the action! It seems as though Abbadon wasn't always the broody character he is today…he was quite the optimist.

So this comic was something new for me. I spent 5 hours making this, mostly because every single soldier you see in that army was positioned separately for the first panel. After that I just copied them all, but still, note that I spent about an hour copying and pasting those soldiers into a proper place so that it would look cool. Also notice the perspective. And of course, sepia means flashbacks!

Some background info: Avengia is the name of the land where this is all taking place. It's an homage to my first ever (ex-)webcomic and current IRC-channel.
General Fivivre, who is mentioned in the last panel, is the man giving the troops a peptalk (You can also see him doing this in yesterdays comic). Unfortunately, due to lettering and such, you can't really see him in this comic. Regardless, he will be playing a prominent role in this story arch.
