More (Filipino) movies I recently watched…

First Day High - about college (elite school) life in the Philippines. Its a fun movie… except that I'm just annoyed by the massive amount of conio characters. A conio is a Filipino who ALWAYS speaks English (or a weird mixture of Tagalog and English that consists of 90% English and 10% Tagalog) even though he/she is in the Philippines.

Conios are mostly the children of the upper-class who got too much wealth on their hands and worry too much about frivolous things. These people are so highly-brainwashed into American culture that they just idolize and take everything American (most of them dont know that a good number of USA products were outsourced to the Philippines because of the cheaper labor!!!). They also like to look down on Filipino-made stuff (music, movies, etc…)… and anime… as those things are for “squatters”.

But on the bright side, being a konio can help you easily adjust to Western society. While it took me 5 years to adjust into the Western culture and language, it will take a conio less than 1 day.

Hey. Not all conios are evil.

I personally knew this conio dude who could pass as the next Saint Francis of Assisi. As a student council member, he persuaded the school principal to ABOLISH THE PROM and replace it with an outreach program instead.

To me it was actually more fun building houses for the poor than participating in such a frivolous activity. What the fuck is a prom anyway? All it entails is showing off… WHOEVER GOT THE MOST MONEY AND THE NICEST CLOTHES, GIRL, AND CAR WINS!!! lmao!!!

However, this man was turned into an outcast right away by his other conio friends because he ruined their prom!!! ROTFLMAO!!! I swear… if I see him one day run in Philippine politics, I will definitely vote for him.
