Dominion - concept

If you're following our main comic Shades at DD, you might be interested in this. It's the original sketch Harsho did of Dominion (the guy who stole the rock in the Prologue!) He won't be appearing in the story again for quite a while, so hopefully this concept sketch will keep you going until then!

nice heavy duty combat armer I like the look, The other suit looks more like light scout armer nothing saying he cant have more than one suite. batman dose, each for it's own purpose

Abt: That sums up Dominion exactly. As you'll see later! The full script for [url=http://www.drunkduck.com/Shades]Shades[/url] was written waaaay back in 2003/2004, so yes, it's complete. The artwork obviously takes time and Harsho is currently approaching the end of Chapter 8 (the half-way point - a real milestone!) Even though I call the script complete, however, I do rework each chapter one final time just before Harsho starts working on it.

Great design, somewhere between superhero and military. I forgot to ask on Shades, so I'll just ask here: I was wondering if Shades was already completed? Do you have the complete story in a drawer already?

Lemnis: I don't know why. I suspect it just gets hot in there! And lamellas ... not heard that word before but I like it!

Why isn't his neck protected? Every knife-swinging madman could severly injure him... I love the, uhm... lamellas? on his bracers. Very organic and evil-alien like.

Marine: Thanks. The goggles became a visor for the final version which meant we lost the ability to see his eyes. In retrospect, I think that may have been a mistake but, otherwise, I still think he looks cool. Glad you do, too! cda: Thanks.

I'm a big fan of the design. Its the classic anti-hero warrior guy look, and its done wonderfully.
