The House That Drac Built - page 02

This is Page 2 of my childhood vampire comic The House That Drac Built. I made it at the age of around fifteen or sixteen, as you can probably tell from the quality of the jokes - the name Transylveinia (no, it's not just a spelling mistake!), the side-splittingly funny reference to blood-suckers and, of course, the knife in the road.
It's obviously not so cool to admit it now but - as this clearly demonstrates - back when I were a lad, Morecambe and Wise were just as big an influence on teenage humour as Monty Python! Who'd a-thunk it?

Abt: Morecambe and Wise were a music hall double-act whose TV show became a big hit through the 1960s and which, by the 1970s, had become a British institution. Fondly remembered for terrible jokes and the celebrity guest stars who appeared on their Christmas specials. (Less fondly remembered for spawning a host of dreadful imitators!) Oh, and the blurring effect is easy. Just leave your pages in a damp attic for a couple of decades ...!

Morecambe and Wise? Never heard of them! Gotta commend you on the blrry zoom effect in the last panel though - that must have been especially hard to do without a computer ;-)
