The House That Drac Built - Page 04
DAJB on Jan. 27, 2008
This is Page 4 of my teenage misdemeanour titled The House That Drac Built and today we introduce not one, but two new characters - the Count's hunchbacked manservant Eyesor (who can just be seen behind the bannister in Panel 1) and a mysterious female emerging from the cupboard under the stairs in Panel 2. The plot, as we used to say when I was at school, sickens …
I like the way the Count's cape just appears following his physical transformation. I guess it must have been made by the same tailor responsible for Bruce Banner's “Hulk-size” underpants!
Oh, and if I haven't mentioned it before, “Dajb” is pronounced with a silent B. Like limb. Or numb. Or … well, you get the idea. More tomorrow …!

Heh - I don't know ... I found maybe half a dozen of these these ancient relics in my attic and I thought they had a certain charm. But maybe that's just me suffering a bout of rheumy-eyed nostalgia! I also found a few comics I made at the age of about thirteen, featuring (among others) a stick-figure super hero called Captain Doddle and a detective named Mike Rafone. Those are never seeing the light of day!

No, that's me lurking there. In a very cowardly fashion!

You forgot the third new character in the last panel, luriking behind the curtains.
