DajbDevil - cover
DAJB on Feb. 4, 2008
As you can probably tell, this is the “cover” from a childhood comic of mine called DajbDevil, starring me as … well, you can work it out!
The rest of the comic is not a masterpiece of cutting and pasting like this but, like The House That Drac Built, is hand-scrawled in ballpoint pen on a school exercise book (which, thanks to a friend with access to the school stock room, mysteriously found its way into my possession!) Hmmm - I wonder how much this issue would have been worth now, if I hadn't taken a pair of scissors to it?
Reminder: If you're enjoying the BVC Scrap Book, don't forget to look in on our main comic Shades.

You drew on your comics? That's almost as bad as cutting them up! When, oh when will children learn that comics are not mere playthings, but the sacred artefacts of the future, to be kept pristine in sealed bags and glass cabinets, never to be opened?! ;-)

Ugh you forced my hand. I hate you all now. Why oh why did I have to show that old cover and get DAJB on this kick? =P Sergeant Keith Adventures Ultimate cover! I drew on a lot of my TMNT comics =( Oh the comic code. How I miss that symbol.

Abt: Heh - hard to believe comic books were once considered disposable, isn't it?! (And, of course, I never doubted you were a man of your word!) East: Thanks! I must admit it's kind of weird revisiting these old things but ... hey, there are worse webcomics out there!

My God! You cut up a comic book? I'm speechless. But not speechless enough to not announce that I'm willing to honour the deal we made.

Cute! I remember when Marvel (and DC) comics were all melodramatic with the dialogue like that! ;) Nice -- and funny -- um, adaptation!
