DajbDevil - Page 01

Here we go then … Page 1 of DajbDevil, another of the comics I made while I was at school, back in the days before PCs even existed. The blue lines across the page are because this one was also drawn in a school exercise book - (I guess we must have run out of ricketts to write on!)
The poor jokes are because I was, maybe, fifteen or sixteen at the time, so there'll be more of those later (sorry!); and Snoopy makes an appearance because, well … I like Snoopy (doesn't everyone?!) Oh, and 24 September is my real birthday. (Presents are always welcome!)

Love what you did with the word balloons at the bottom. That's actually very creative! Go super Snoopy!

Thanks, Abt! Rickets (yes, I spelt it wrong up there!) was a children's disease brought on by malnutrition and therefore especially common among the poor. Fortunately it's been pretty much eradicated in modern times and, for that reason, it's considered synonymous with the "bad old days". (No, it wasn't really something you could write on!)

I can proudly say I got that joke about Egyptians. But that's about it! :-) My dictionary doesn't even tell me what ricketts are... Needless to say, I'm enjoying this, especially Snoopy's cameo. I always wondered how some people would understand him, even though he was always just "thinking" what he was "saying".
