BGH#388 It's All Coming Back To Me Now

theRedDeath on May 24, 2009

I'd LIKE to pretend like it's super-awesome that i'm in the DD top five(at the moment that i'm typing this), but we all know that would be a sham for two reasons:

A) The only reason that i'm there is thanks to David Willis of http://www.shortpacked.com/ linking me, and in a few days i'll revert back to my cozy #13-15 position.

B) I have never shown any interest in popularity anyway, on account of my humble little comic being both just a hobby, and a completely unmarketable copyright-cluster #$%& anyhow.

So instead I'll use my temporary popularity to link to some of the comics I enjoy here on Drunk Duck:

http://www.drunkduck.com/Dasien/
Dasien is a super-hero comic about a sexy blonde in a legless red one-piece. Anyone who reads BGH has probably figured out I like superheroes, and anyone who happens to know i'm a heterosexual man knows I like the smexy lady-folk. So hey, I give it two thumbs up.

http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/
Crossoverlord i've linked to before, but it's a great segway since Dasien is in it, so i'm linking to it again. I love crossover comics and this one seems to be the best of the bunch. (although Dasien seems to be in just about EVERY Superhero crossover comic on DD…girl gets around). My only complaint is that it only updates once a week. I guess that's the price you pay for a consistent plot.

http://www.drunkduck.com/Fandom/
Fandom takes the TRON approach to storytelling, with people sucked into cyberspace and adapting their avatar personas. Normally that's not my cup of tea, but it's all done with a (impressively accurate) Bruce Timm style. Bruce Timm is a huge influence on my art and I tend to eat that stuff up. It's not really updating right now, so if you DO go over there and read the archives, be sure to heckle them into updating again while you're over there.

Okay, I haven't actually gotten through all the archives yet, but the artwork (and the english) have improved a lot since the beginning. And Algeya has been one of my most reliable and supportive readers so (s)he definitely deserves a link.

http://www.drunkduck.com/The_Legacy_of_Griever_Reborn/
Legacy of Griever is a comic done by an old High School friend of mine, and I'm just trying to do him a solid. The artwork can be rough, but the guy's a trooper and he does have a story to tell. I think he just needs some encouragement to really push him. So go over there and tell him what you think.

There are other great webcomics on DD, but these are the few that I like AND think would appreciate the linkage. So go check them out if you haven't already.
