What Lamika wants… Lamika takes!
Hey gang, remember about a month ago I took a mechanical skills test for a big company about a month ago? I drove 300 miles to take that test and after passing it they told me that they didn't have any jobs. Well, this same company has asked me to take their training courses, unpaid, for the next four weeks.
Needles to say, I'm both happy and terrified at the same time because even if I do well in these training courses it doesn't mean I'm sure to get the job. But if I do get hired, the job has some awesome benefits!
I've also never lived in a big city before. Seattle WA is much, much bigger than small town I've grown up in. (My town's population is about 50,000.)
But I'm putting fear aside, and taking the risk of getting this job. I'll miss my friends, I'll miss my family, and most of all… I'll miss my daughter and girlfriend while I'm there! My parents are very supportive and have offered to assist me financially, my friends have been very supportive emotionally assuring me that if things don't work out in Seattle, they will have a place for me to stay until I get back on my feet again.
And what does this big change mean to my fans?… You won't be affected at all! I will have web access over there and there are plenty of pages in the auto launcher. (Although I may try to chat with you all a lot more!)
The transition happens March 24th.
