The blood plaster here has triggered an old memory from my school days once or twice before. Us kids were made to illustrate a bible quote, and for some reason I got "Woe to him who builds a town with blood..." I didn't like my teacher, so I took it completely literally and drew something very red, with the workers complaining about the smell and that it all keeps sticking together in the wrong places. (Had yet to get a bit older to get into religion, too.) Of course, that got me a thorough rebuke: how could anyone be so stupid and disgusting... Just this year, I read about an archaeological discovery in Benin, where they unearthed a tomb whose builders apparently did exactly that. 😨 Take that, Ms. ---!
Honestly, I just made up this entire Blood Plastering the Wall without any researching religious texts. So, it's great to hear that I pulled the idea out of the spiritual/intuitive ether! ;-)
