SEXUAL OVERTONES - LIVE!

Sexual Overtones formed in 2005 as the result of a college initiation prank gone wrong. The details are sketchy, but the end result was Jason Lawsley, Jason Kinlan, Alex Wentworth and Layla Boulstridge bonded over their love for 70s rock, 80s video games and 90s rave culture. The band began performing in clubs in English college towns, and eventually released the indie rock classic, Sexual Overtones, also known as ‘the astronaut album’ in late 2007. After a 2008 world tour, the band went silent for several years. Now, to promote the release of their high-concept second album, Sexual Overtones II, Sexual Overtones are again touring and showing their documentary film, Oh My God They Were Right, which follows the band and its dark struggles with drugs and the loss of guitar player Alex Wentworth during the period after their first album release.
