The maneuver he is performing here to lose the FWs has been historically documented to have happened, though the actually pilot had more fortune than our guy here.
But at least he is crashing somewhere pretty :p

@El_Cid Snow only makes an emergency crash landing in the mountains worse; A) It can hide deadly rocks, B) The crash can loosen the snow above and let you survive the crash only to die in the avalanche. C) Snow has been known to seem solid while it actually is frozen over an open crevasse, and the impact of the plane causes it to colapse dropping plane and pilot not to be seen till the following century. (Being excavated in Iceland right now.) D) It's slick as hell and you have less control over where your aircraft's skid ends.
