dragonrider: Oh I see! Well this is actually a traditional greek highland straw-wood-and-mud pen shepherds use to be able to lead their flocks quite a bit away from their village over the stretch of a few days. Or well, used to use. No animal skins are used for these, though inside the pen may be especially fortified for the cold if it's winter. In Greek we call them Σαρακατσ&# 940;νικη στάνη, or a Sarakatsan pen. :)

A yurt is a domed tent made by stitching together animal hides and stretching them over a wooden frame. Normally found in nomadic encampments, the Mongols left the knowledge of how to make them everywhere they raided.
Darwin: No, not at all that long. They did come fast considering the dangers.
houseofmuses:I don't know what a yurt is, but I'm very proud of painting nighttime snow indeed! :D
bravo1102: Thanks!
