A comic made with sketchup? I'm impressed. How is it rigged? or do you move every part in place? Is it rendered in sketchup too? I'm a 3d artist myself in Blender and Daz. This looks quite interesting but not active.

Thanks for taking a look! It all takes place in SketchUp, character models are made up of groups/components and can be moved or rotated easily. Locations are like fish tank movie sets. There's no rendering as such, shadows are switched on in a couple of seconds so it's ready for me to take a snapshot, which gives me a big speed edge -- I don't think I could work otherwise. Sometimes I have 3 instances of SketchUp open as I transfer assets from model to model, another huge time saver. Sure, it might not have the glossy splendor of DAZ but it's close to my own blocky, brutalist art style, and the end result looks like a comic to me. lol that's more than I've talked about my process in a while. Thanks for reading!

Baraba childhood protector. Must be really hard to play catch with him since he has no depth perception with only one eye. (Says the guy who has spent much time the past two years with only one eye)

Those sensor nubs all over his body aren't for show, he "sees" on a lot of wavelengths, but for catching balls he leans toward radar and Doppler effect. Everyone should have an organic. Thanks for reading!

Let 'em on board, then blow up the ship. It's what I would do. Or, it's what a braver more selfless version of me would do, at least.

These brave thoughts will most certainly have crossed their minds already. Except for our green-haired crewperson, who is a tad terrified by the fate that awaits her at the tentacles of the dreadful Nirvadians. Thanks for reading!
