I wonder why there isn't falling damage in Castlevania, or most side scrolling games, for that matter. In terms of castlevania, there should be falling damage. Just a few points of damage, here and there, for long falls. No insta kill stuff, just some damage.

In my comic, there's falling damage. Fall from too high, and you'll get hurt. However, Soma performed a double jump right before he hit the ground, so that negated the damage.

Yoko, however, didn't do that, so she got hurt.
