I apologize for any negative comments you've been getting on my behalf (I am not a supporter of retaliation of this sort) and I admit, you are entitled to your opinion. Don't worry, it wasn't just you I was referring to about hitcounts, I've just been here a while and have gotten to know a few of the tricks, sorry if I mistook your comment for one of those.
And I don't think your art is bad at all, so I see no reason to be envious or jealous as you put it, it's just a difference of styles.
The comment you recently left has given me a new insight, though I wish you had worded your former comment a little more concisely.... What I mean is, having looked at your avatar I'd figured you were just someone who didn't like the slight Eastern influence (which is particularly minor compared to my actual influences) since yours appears heavily Western influenced.
So it wasn't what you said however, but how you said it. I'll be the first to admit my line art's nothing special, but people like the characters, I suppose. I do have a long way to go still...but if you have seen where I started off, I've improved a lot, and I think you are already aware of the areas you need work on so I'm not gonna tell you something you already know. And you have a style that works particularly well with a flatter coloring. I wouldn't envy the "fancy" stuff since it takes me about 8-12 hours straight to get it done. (besides, the other people in the top 5 have better coloring than me, anyway, it's best to ignore envy and try do do your own thing.)
And if it needs to be said I DO appreciate that you didn't comment anonymously, even if I had found the comment without much helpful criticism at the time.
I did find myself dwelling more on what glaring flaws are possibly ruining my line art, however!
But I truly appreciate that you let me know what your point was, that was mighty cool of you.
And last thing: Imagining the doc talking like Droopy is hilarious, reminds me of the rifftrack of the Spiderman movie. with that, I'll probably be keeping an eye on this comic once I get a faster net service than dial-up...I just so happen to like your monstrous creatures.
The comment I made was that the quality of drawing in Charby the Vampirate is really nothing special. And that's true. There are a lot of comics on this site that are just as well-drawn. (Notice I never said MINE was.)
What sets Charby apart is the fancy, shiny colouring.
And thanks for the computer history lesson...?
People are riding your ass because of all the rather negative comments you made, particularly on Charby The Vampirate, which has a hell of a lot of readers. You know the funny thing is that the comments you made apply to you, really really apply to you. We invented computers with shading software back in the...80s? 90s?
You'll... Grow balls... When I draw better... Comics...
Am I getting this deal right? That's... That's just baffling.
I don't even know how you're planning on doing this, but you've got yourself a deal.
For every improvement I make on my art, let's say you grow 1/15th of a testicle. Lots of room for improvement for both of us.

Well, how about when you get some skill and stop drawing shitty comics, make it even dood.
I'll stick around just so I can point out that I am noticing improvements in your inks. Still a little flimsy in the last few panels, but you're certainly getting there.
Backrounds might be something to work on next.

Haha, pretty good! ...Although I say Charby the Vampirate is better because it has better drawing :)! I'm kidding, great comic!

It's good to see that people with no artistic talent what-so-ever, can still make crappy webcomics and think that they're skilled. Lulz the internet.
Johnnyrocker at 11:08AM, Oct. 23, 2007
You have to imagine Dr. Festavius talking like Droopy Dog from those old MGM cartoons. That's why I made him say "sir" so much.

Ew... this is creepy, but it's also fascinating me. Why have I not heard of this comic? =P

WTF nice way to end it
