The strength of a symbol. Panel 2 does it for me. My favorite thing about heroes from Batman, Gatchaman, and Superman are the symbol they wear on their chest. The symbol not only represents the hero but stands for a purpose. The bat emblem instills fear in villains or the diamond S represents hope.
The Cloud Eagle symbol is a silhouetted bald eagle head with a silhouetted dove head on the inside. To me this represents strength and faith; aggression but with a heart; almost a spiritual ying yang.

I have always been interested in symbolism used by different artist. with art most is left to the viewer for interpretation but I always love to know the intent of the creator. It may sway what the viewer thought on their own but its always helps to validify

Superman's "diamond" is in fact a shield, so it also represents his mission to protect ... Nice background info. Thanks.
