Well, that was the end of chapter one, and now things are getting really interesting! For instance, how does it work to have a character who cannot speak?!
Nothing like a good old monologue aimed at the reader to convey information. For, well, Punchinello surely knows all this stuff and does not have to be reminded.
This is what I was thinking Nul. He may be mute, but there can still be a betrayal.
And he almost looks like a cute little kid showing of his writing skills to his "dad" in this picture.
Dun, dun, dun! For some reason I am reminded of Sauron and his Eye. Yes, rereading LotR does this to a person.
And I have to say that the beer mug in the corner creates an excellent sense of balance.

like all villains, he has a tendency to ramble and explain himself for no reason what so ever.

Hmmm... Seems there is trouble ahead...

Uh-Oh! Is that an ominous gong-sound I hear?

I like the name Punchinello...it reminds me of something or someone--but I can't remember what or who. (or why it is stuck in my head right now.) =/

I thought it was a slate... And do they use a code or is the Captain stupid enough to think he's the only one who can read?

ahhh man... that book he has is a journal so he can write his message...which could be worse then telling if he loses it...
