The “3-P.I.G.S.” came from an idea that I had for creating a team of super-heroes and their arch-enemies around the idea of the story of the “Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf.”

Thus the heroes became the “Plutonium Irradiated Good-Guy Swine” and the villains became “W.U.L.F.” - the “World Urban League of Felony,” and the story became something of a battle between the protection of the heroes rural homestead, and the villains goal of destroying them and their land. The big ruthless urban villains vs, the humble rural heroes.

“Mister Match” is kind of like “Pyro” from “X-Men” in that he can manipulate fire, but not create it himself. Therefore, he relies on things like matches, lighters, firebombs, and such to provide his flames for him, or he just relies upon the full fire generation and control provided by his girlfriend, “Matchbox Girl.” The two of them are the lowest ranked of the primary six of the “W.U.L.F. Pack” command structure, being little more than hired goons just a bit above the standard Urban Wolves only due to the usefulness of their powers.

Much of his backstory is kind of vague. We don't know exactly where it is that he is from, or where exactly it is that he gained his powers, or where exactly he and Matchbox Girl met and became an inseparable duo. But, that's just more to discover later in future tales.
