Ka-Punch!

Ever have one of those weeks where you can't seem to get anything done? By the way if anyone wants to check out the stuff I'm working on for my next comic I went ahead and put it on my Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/38700423@N08/

@oldguy: At the very least she's hesitant, she's not going to be quick to believe anything Dart says.
@Peipei: No kidding, right? It brings out the ripper in anyone!
@usedbooks: He's supposed to be restraining her and not doing that great of a job. I guess it does look like he's hiding behind her though.
@Zephyrion: Thanks!
@amanda: Yep, this is about as kind as Dart gets. I won't give too much away but you're second guess is slightly accurate.
@Trevor: Smaller cons are great, they're cheap and they have a lot of little-known artists there and the afterparties are usually pretty fun.
@Warped: Oh yes you can, I mean if you really want to.
@JNP: I never considered that angle. Though she was all set to run into a burning house without stopping to catch her breath. You're right, her stamina must be bordering on superhuman.
@khard12: That's true they are. Maybe the adrenalin high the only thing keeping Cricket conscious?
@Ludeshka: She does trust them and she's fully aware she's not in any danger from them in particular– they're sort of in her way though. Yeah, PG-rated swearing is kind of frustrating. I'm considering making a comic of nothing but swearing, just for catharsis ya know?
@Steely Gaze: I guess all the stuff that happened recently combined with the fact that Cricket's not been eating or sleeping particularly well could account for that. The yelling lettering is a lot of fun.
@R_Cain: I'm glad that someone picked up on that! Cricket didn't have bags under her eyes at first but got them after she started having trouble sleeping. Dart got his more to hint at him being slightly crazy. Needless to say both of those characters are under a good deal of stress.

Dart's a tricky one for me to read. Sometimes I actually sympathize with him; I mean he did have Higgins for a father, you've got to have a little bit of sympathy for anyone forced to go through that! But then he continually acts like a--well to be blunt, like an asshole. Sucker punching poor Ollie didn't win him any points in my book. :P Also, I like the way the shadows are making him conveniently sinister in panel 5.

F ya! Sweet sucker punch.

The after parties for the big cons are a lot of fun too, at least on the industry side. I have only been to a handful of room parties for the larger cons, but mostly those are like regular parties. :P

Okay, now Ollie and Dart need to get into a fight like Colin Firth and Hugh Grant in Bridget Jones (the second movie's fight was the best). Mostly because that indulges my mirth-o-meter AND puts Ollie as the ultimate winner XD Oooh, and your re-comment has my curiosity all piqued! *bounce bounce*

Dart provides the best option (for now). He does have a good point about hanging around while the police are looking for her. best to lay low for a while.

Well, that was uncalled for. :-P Yes, by all means, follow Dart. Then you can spit in his food and put his hand in warm water while he's sleeping.
Peipei at 2:23AM, July 15, 2009
Poor thing x.x I don't cry anymore either :s. Maybe they should just follow Dart after all? It's not like they've got a choice.
oldguy85 at 12:41AM, July 15, 2009
My bet is she won't go but Dart won't know it despite having her followed. Or someone comes upwith a plan to use her as bait.
