Everything to Me

Do you want to know two things I hate? Ellipses for one, you know the classic “…” I don't think it's universally bad though I've seen it overused to the point where I just want to yell, “Learn another form of punctuation!”
Another is drawing girls with long, blond hair. I don't know what it is but they all seem to have an unfortunate tendency to come out looking kind of “samey,” if that makes any sense. Generally I'll give girls I draw weird hair just to keep myself interested.
The reason why I bring this up is because Madeline has her long blond hair, (mercifully, it's kind of a weird hairdo,) and she uses something like five ellipses on this page– GAH! This page drove me crazy for strange reasons!

@Peipei: Well, I'm glad I got your approval anyway. I'm not sure the diagrams look “neat” enough, and it kind of shows that I'm a terrible draftsman.
@usedbooks: That's pretty close to how I imagined it. The ship that Higgins is reverse engineering probably operates on a different set of principals so applying conventional knowledge hasn't been met with much success. It's not likely that it uses materials that are rare or absent though, earlier Creature built a working model of the ship out of materials he found in Cricket's house.
@Warped: Thanks, I wasn't sure I got the lighting right and I'm still not sure the arcing looks all that impressive. At least in the latter's case it could be a limitation of working in straight-up black and white.
@Trevor: If I wasn't so self-deprecating I might've been offended by people making fun of me, but as I see it at least they know who I am, right? Grant Morrison? Bat-shit crazy?
@theBSDude: I'll have to take the fifth on the nature of Creature's planet. But actually, if you think about it the aliens are pretty damn advanced. Especially in the context of a world where airfoils and internal combustion are recent innovations. The aliens meanwhile have technology that makes interplanetary travel practical and safe. Well, safe most of the time.
@Jonko: Hey, thanks a lot!
@khard12: “Steve” yeah, that's what I'd call it!
@amanda: “The Higginsmobile.” That just makes me imagine Higgins in a barely flying version of the ship, flying five feet off the ground, wielding a nerf-rocket launcher and throwing pies at passers by.
@Zephyrion: Thanks!
@chris_wastewater: “The electric eel” is good but I think I'm committed to calling it “Steve” now.
@oldguy: Higgins probably assumes that Creature knows more than he does about how the ship works, part of the reason why he wants him back.

Grandma is a very strong woman. I like her a lot. I like ellipses, because they're like "Oh, I don't know if I should be saying this or not" and like "I didn't expect that!" and a lot of things XD I REALLY like Madeline's outfit. Then again I like Cricket's outfit a lot. Your characters wear nice clothes! (I'm shallow and I like to look at them ^^)

Yeah, blond girls are hard to draw because you can't hide your messups by coloring the hair in. I think you did really well though! The backgrounds look great in this page too!

granny's always such a sport.

I really like her design without the jacket on. She looks really cute in that last panel. What do you mean ellipse this (...) LOL you know I like them alot...

Grant Morrison = more so than I, am I right? ;) He just makes more money making comics than I do.... :P

good acting.

This must be the gang's hideout. Cozy enough place. Not sure I'd want to venture down those dark stairs though.

Haha, I use ellipses all the freaking time. It's a problem. Love Madeline's shirt under that jacket - it's really pretty! Cricket's gramma really has it together - makes me wish I'd gotten to know my grandparents a bit better ^.^

If you get bored with "..." you can always go to "--" Or even just having the letter "I" in it's on word balloons. As for "long blond hair girls looking the same" Well, if we are talking anime then generally EVERY girl looks the same. They just get different costumes, hairstyles, and hair colors. *hopes Fenny didn't look too samey And man, Granny's starting to put a lot of things together. Who knows what all she did when she was younger. She may already have all the knowledge they need to outsmart the cops here and get Creature's spacecraft back.

Poor Madeline. And man, those crows show up everywhere. Must be the local mascot or something. The ellipses are necessary for the dramatic pause. What other punctuation would you use? I guess you could insert a silent panel, but that's for a longer pause really. Using them in non-comic typing is lame, though. I get sick of similar hairstyles on people too. My problem is more related to short dark hair on men, though. (I've always had crushes on dark-haired guys, so I draw too many of them and then can't come up with ways to tell them apart. -_- )

It looked good :3. I mainly admire how original the diagram looked. I struggle with stuff like that as well xD. I love Madeline's corset/shirt a lot xD. I like her entire outfit for that matter :3.

Cozy looking place. Madeline has some interesting footwear, and choice of necklaces. Is she superstitious?
