Chapter 1 Page 20
Commissar_Tarkin on Aug. 31, 2022
Introducing Captain Valeria Markova, commander of the 170th Anti-Air Battalion. Her preternatural senses and acute paranoia are both a blessing and a curse, but you in her line of work, you can only stay alive by being either lucky, or sharp, and luck tends to run out after a while. Still a Captain after all these years, her promotion is bound to come through sooner or later…
Also, there's Major Zlatan Hodzic, the most high-ranking human officer of the 170th and chief of engineers. Need something big and sturdy built overnight, or something even bigger and sturdier turned into a cloud of smoke, dust and debris in a moment? He's your man.
Also, I regret to inform the readers that this page marks the end of daily updates (or, well, workday updates) since our comic on the Duck caught up to the website and other platforms, and will switch to updating Mondays like everywhere else. This was inevitable and not related to us getting featured, by the way. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd rather post a page a day to keep people interested. But that way, we'd go though our buffer too soon and would have to go on a hiatus, which I'd prefer to avoid.

Great stuff so far i'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. It's a very different approach to what's normally in the genre. The serious take works well.

They do have uniform trench coats, there's just no point in wearing them indoors on a ship. But I do get what you mean, black leather trench coats, that sort of thing.

Normally vampire stuff has trench coats and very campy elements or it's a period drama that just happens to have Vampires and/or Werewolves.

Thanks! It's good to know that our take works, we weren't sure at first. What is normally the genre, though, in your opinion?

Congrats on the feature!

Thanks! It was a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
