Dasien is an idealist and can be a little immature, but she's no dummy. She knows exactly how to get even with Mindmistress. Bwahahahaha!!! Choke on that, Double-M! I hope you enjoy having that image burned into your memory for eternity!
A number of years ago, a crossover event resulted in a merged “Amalgam Universe”, which was comprised of composits of DC and Marvel characters. In this world, Wolverine became Dark Claw, the world's equivalent of Batman. Captain America was merged with Superman and because Super Soldier. And so on and so forth.
One of my earliest and admittedly warped ideas to make an Amalgamized version of Dasien and Mindmistress. The result: BRAIN BABE! I also replaced Vicky with Parker and created a hybrid villain called Crimson Blood, a character that combines properties of Dasien's rival Lord Crimson and Bloodlust, a character who first appears in Military Intelligence.
Oh, come on. Didn't you like Lobo the Duck?
The spin-offs were more of an easter egg hunt than anything. It catered to those willing to spend the time trying to figure out the composition of the mash-ups. Most were fairly obvious, although they did throw in some head-scratchers.
My favorite moment in the entire mash-up, though, was the revelation of Mary Jane Watson as Insect Queen! Talk about hitting the jackpot!
Fans of Dasien and supherheroic teams in general can see her strutting her stuff in her earlier uniform at HEROES UNITE at http://www.drunkduck.com/Heroes_Unite/?p=486197 ---HU being a team from HER reality.
Mamoru Oshii is the director of the anime film Ghost In The Shell. He was also directed Dallos, the first half of the Urusei Yatsura TV series, and Patlabor.

Amalgam must have been the earliest crossover I read while it was actually being published (not buying back-issues or trades, I mean). Great page!

I liked that crossover, but i thought some of the spin-offs were lame.

I remember Amalgam Comics. Probably the best Marvel/DC crossover ever IMO.
