I had to quiz the other creators to see which of their heroes were morning people and which weren't. (Actually, I had to guess on ANT, since Ida's busy at college.) We also tried to think of something clever to put on Lightbringer's apron. The two who are not appearing yet, are obviously NOT morning people. As you'll see next time.
I hadn't had much of a chance to draw Lisa, as opposed to ANT. Since my style is light-years from Ida's light semi-manga style, it was…quite a challenge.–Al
You'll see some action, of a sort, as soon as Neil updates later today. And guys, we're building UP to something. You're going to see a LOT of action and surprises later.--Al
I don't always have something special to say about the current page besides enjoying reading it :-). And sometimes it has already been said a few times - don't want to be a parrot.
Having said that, I can't help but remark that it looks like they are just on a relaxing camping weekend ;-)
Lisa being 13 I normally wouldn't take her as a morning person... though I can easiy depicting her having her not having been able to sleep because of the exitement!
... they'll probably have to wake her up from an impromptu nap later in the day :P
Fortunately, the rating system doesn't do anything anymore. I don't mind the all-five rating so much. I would appreciate a little more chatter, though. Those of you with blank comments every week, I'm looking right at you.

Tssha, I agree with you. I'm most satisfied with Lisa in panel one (although the Io needs work). Lisa is panel three comes second--I like her smile. I was least satisfied with the Lisa in panel two--I tried to indicate shadows thrown by her unruly hair, and overdid it, and as you note, she doesn't look shocked ENOUGH.
I want to thank you. One beef I have about Drunk Duck is that everyone rates "5" and praise or nothing at all. I'd rather have honest constructive criticism and earn a "4" than an insincere rubber-stamp "5"---although I/we deeply appreciate every honest 5 rating given.
As you deduced, Neil, the kitchen itself is an alcove, a small recess off the main hall. Lisa's really at the top of a small set of stairs, say three or four.
The weirdest thing about panel 4 is the positioning of Mindmistress. I assume she's supposed to be inset. Otherwise, Lisa and Lightbringer are TOWERING over her.
Damn that's a good apron. "I need an Alfred" indeed. I guess it's going to be a light breakfast today.
I think that Lisa looks best in panels 1 and 3. 2...well, I don't quite know what to say about 2. Her face's shading seems off...like it's incongruent with the lighting, and I'm not quite feeling her shock, to be honest.
...maybe I should just stop there. You're still working on the character, after all.
With Lightbringer's apron, we were looking for something on par with Submit To The Cook. Sadly, we soon realized that there is no heroic equivalent that is nearly as funny.
Either that, or our combined powers of humor still pale in comparison to the mighty comedic wit of Justin Pierce!
