Happy birthday to me! The big 2-2 yay! Looks like General Marcus Jonathan has tracked Cru's party into the Deadmines. Expect chaos and madness to ensue.
Page 41 is finished and ready for launch at midnight. Be sure to read the Episode Two: Entry Into Karazhan short story arc to prepare for the Thursday cliffhanger.
Besides, i think i'm a bit more than content sittin' back and watching a pro at work, as far as i know, Cru isn't exactly a vet comic yet like.. mm, DD or Flipside, but I think i honestly check this site more out of eagerness than i do any other of the comics that are floating about.
Naught, thanks for the heads up, though forgive me, i don't want to sound like a dick. :P
But anyhow, yeah, i had pretty much figured photoshop to be the one stop shop (har?) for something like this, school is a bitch though so i doubt i could really have much time to do anything serious, i just like piddlin' with model viewer, though i like cookin' more. (Culinary arts, go!)
I suppose it was more of a little rant on how i wish i had photoshop to tool around with, lol.
*facepalm* Ok, I'll try to speak coherently this time-
Hey, Noc, I read your comments. I've the same theory as Cru- in Photoshop we trust. There's no need for a fancy reskinning program when a well placed photo filter will do. Just take a screenshot in Model Viewer, stick it photoshop (or Gimp, or whatever), crop it out, stick a filter or a sexy glow on it, rinse and repeat- behold, you have yourself a comic page. Add jokes and boobs as needed, repeat until writer's block.
Hey, Noc, read your comments. My theory is the same as cru's In photoshop we trust, take a screenshot in model viewer, crop it out, apply filters, its quite simple, yet you have a mind blowing amount of options. You don't need any obscure reskinning programs, just a blur tool and a well timed filter, oh, and a penchant for using the liquefy on boobs helps too.
Yeah I looked into model manipulation and there's several programs you need to import this into this, then that into here, etc. So I just said screw it and do the boob jobs in photoshop lol

Browser lag + a mind unable to stand idle = Slight double post =/
Honestly more than anything, I wish I was not too lazy to seek how to re-skin models, more than just move them around.
I think there are too many armor sets / random greens that could be re-colored or skinned to look pretty outstanding, though, when i spent 4 hours scanning through forums of Descipe and MMOwned to find "you need X program to-" fuck it. ì_ì
And while on that subject, it could, possibly, make good for video usage, being able to tone several layers to make a flowing effect on armor, or.. something of that nature, if you catch my drift.

Indeed, I'm not privy to exactly how any of the elements, nix the actual model's animations, are actually put in place, though i always just assumed through other programs people use to edit visual files.
Either way it's very clean, and well done. I don't think i could imagine sitting stationary working on human beaks for an hour or so. (And yeah, trying to get some sort of dramatic expression out of a human without looking like big bird in plate is mind boggling.)
I spend a lot of time going through the animations looking for the right ones I need, and if I don't find them I'll combine 2 animations at the same time or add facial expressions, limbs and other elements from other screen caps onto the ones I'm using.
Like In General Marcus Jonathan's expression I used the standing ready animation for the body, the talk animation for the mouth and modified his brow and lips while adding teeth to make it look fierce. I hate how the human mouths are shaped like triangles, it makes them look like birds.
Holy crap, i had a Christopher Walken moment, talk about your thoughts being disconnected.
"I can only imagine getting the tweaks in can take twice as much effort as it does prettyin' up an old southern baptist woman on sunday and yet take only half the time."
-that- is what i meant, damn I'm tired, i didn't imagine my sunburn actually made it to my -brain-.
Hmm, though seeing as how I'm limited to only model viewer, I can only imagine getting the tweaks and take twice as much effort as it does prettyin' up the comic like a old southern baptist woman on sunday yet take only half the time.
Refrain of thinking this as some sort of shot against your comic, it's not, i love it, but as someone who honestly spends too much time on Model Viewer, it's amusing to look at each frame and know which animations you're using.
