Ninja Day

Hawk on Dec. 5, 2006

Happy Ninja Day! I know it was set for December 5th, but that's technically when I finished this… I just decided to update on Wednesday. In honor of Ninja Day I'm putting up this Tadashi wallpaper. If you go the Downloads page you can get different sizes.

I'd also like to dispel a myth… I've been told a couple times by readers that Tadashi is using the wrong kind of sword. They say he should be using a Ninja-To, which has a more straight edge and is shorter. The truth is, Ninjas did not stick exclusively to one sword, but used what was readily available. While sometimes that was the ninja-to, it was really up to their choice. Besides when trying to blend into society, does it make much sense to run around with the “official ninja sword?” Ninjas were versatile. How do I know all this? I'm in close contact with a bona-fide ninja.

Please don't get on my case about pluralization of the word “ninja”.

In other news, I'm thrilled that Drunk Duck has featured Culture Shock. DD has always been good to me, and that's why I stay here. It's a really good comic host, too! I would also like to thank all of you readers for returning commenting so much. You definitely make it worth the work.

I apologize for updating this late. I'm working on college finals right now, but I hope to have something new for you this weekend.

And in honor of Ninja Day, go check out Dr. McNinja from my list of links. It's the best comic about a doctor or a ninja.
