#156 A Dark and Brooding Evening

Hawk on May 31, 2010

Well, now you can all see just how well Tadashi's evening turned out. Many of you questioned his ability to keep up the charade, and you were right to do so. His punishment for the deception was bad enough after just the first panel that I felt bad about putting Tadashi through the rest of them. Poor guy.

Now, here are replies to some of the comments on the previous page:

AlaAtra Scans - Too helpful, maybe? Or just pansies?
Xenterex - I've always thought you were a smart one, Xenterex. I shouldn't be surprised that you've figured this one out.
Doctor Shadow - Thanks!
giovanni - I'm hoping to give readers a whole new experience with the villains in the near future. So far they've been very one-dimensional.
b_templar428 - That's actually an interesting idea. I do wonder if Alec would even opt to use a gun if he understood it.
armored knight - Something tells me Alec DOESN'T know the right way to bust a computer, unless he does it unintentionally.
Tantz Aerine - Thank you.
Cheeko - You're right, his shoulder armor IS getting bigger. I think it's the result of my art style escaping the trappings of anime and drifting closer to an exaggerated, cartoony style. I'm not sure if I should backtrack or if I should see where this style is taking me.
NeoDarklight - To put things simply, I just don't feel like drawing every little clasp and joint meant to keep his armor on. It's a time thing. But you're right, I haven't really indicated what exactly is keeping the shoulder armor on, but I assure you it's not magical or magnetic.
Hoolo - The speculation is what makes reading comments the most fun, and your speculation seems pretty astute. Thanks for your comments.
Loud_G - Part of the fun in making this comic is climbing into the head of an ancient knight and trying to see the world through his eyes. And it's been a while since I've been able to use his condition for comedy.
