Well, technically, he should have appeared _relative_ to the difference in time but that would make sense and not involve infinite compression of relative time. ;)

High Elf DocEmmit! I mean, Donwick! I would dispute with him about the finer mechanics of time-travel and maintaining such specific accuracy across such large jumps, but I must admit that I inherently feel that he knows his time travel.

Now that I think of it, that potion would have had to be a Time Egg to return to that specific moment, or else he would return to the Middle Ages + whatever time spent in the present. Because that's how time travel works, clearly.
