I admire the Geisha assassins a lot. They were perfect spies, and something pretty unique. Though all cultures probably have tales of high-ranking concubines and the like, being killers... geisha were much higher elevated in status than their targets even.
And ironically, the next page features Lily's mom in 'Madame Butterfly', in geisha garb.
"argent" is silver and also money in French.
On another note, that mom reminds me of the Geisha assassins of old Japan. You know, the ones who were so high in status among Geisha that they gain access to high ranked officials, who were all male then.

My french's not that good, but is it "en argent" because "d'argent" would mean "of money"?
