What is that red in the background in panels 2 and 3? Is that part of what Berniece is sensing? Or is that something behind her? I can see the wavy lines as part of what she is sensing, but the red puzzles me. She looks so alone and vulnerable in panel 4 - so small, you know? It's a terrific effect created only with art and very well done!
