Happy Friday, everybody.

This past couple weeks has been very trying. I have been fighting a persistent sinus and ear infection which has made me very dizzy. Not much fun. As a result, there were three or four days I was unable to do anything.

The doctor has me on heavy-duty antibiotics and Prednisone to reduce the inflammation and swelling. I”m happy to say it seems to be working. I haven’t been dizzy for three days. I’m scheduled to see an ENT in May to see if there are any other issues in my sinuses and inner ear.

Lizzy is showing Dani the hiding place she discovered in the barn. Will it be enough to protect Lizzy and Amy, if trouble comes their way?

Ah, well that would make a lot of sense, and isn't that just precious how Lizzy discovered a hiding place used for illegal activity and turned it into a hiding place of innocence and childlike whimsy . . . unfortunately, I just know it's not going to be innocent or whimsical for long. BTW, you probably missed it because of the resizing and compression, but if you were to look closely, I slipped in a rather subtle little shout-out to DANIELLE DARK in last week's VAMPIRE GIRL.

Thanks for the shout-out. Even though I saw the Kingdom of Cats cameo, I missed my own character. And she was right next to it. In my defense, I haven't been feeling too well lately. Anyway, many thanks for the cool cameo. I'm thinking Sigfred N. LeRoy would look good on one of Dani's t-shirts.

It does not look bullet-proof, but at least the bad guys won't think to start shooting in that direction when Dani is outside distracting/devastating them.

Danielle is hoping for two things. First, that the secret room will hide Amy and Lizzy from the bad guys. Second, it might keep Amy and Lizzy from seeing Danielle in full blown vampire rage.

Thanks. The meds seem to be working. I've had to deal with these issues most of my life. This time seems to be a pretty bad infection. I was treated for the same thing this past December. Having it recur so soon has lead to the appointment with the ear, nose and throat specialist.
