Happy Friday, everybody.

Danielle has effortlessly dispatched one demon, who has dissolved into a steaming pile of dust and clothing. She seems pleased with herself, but perhaps Danielle is a bit too confident. Her attempt to attract the attention of the occupants of the approaching car has also alarmed Amy and Lizzy.

Many thanks for pointing that out. I completely missed seeing Danielle Dark made the top ten. I haven really kept track of how many pages I've posted. I suppose I should pay closer attention. Thanks, again. :)

Doing things in the heat of a battle that aren't all that well thought through is not just a vampire thing but actually a very human trait. So are hindsight being 20/20 and remorse.

This is a topic of some debate. I think most vampires would be driven by the same emotions and foibles as any normal human. In this case, Danielle intends to draw the attackers away from Amy and Lizzy. Just how effective this action will be remains to be seen.

I guess it must be a vampire thing that when their adrenaline gets pumping, they experience a bit of a rush that drives their impulses - not unlike whenever Levana would go through blood withdrawals. In Dani's case, the rush of having vanquished one demon has her hungry for destroying more, thus driving her impulse to attract more unwanted attention that may not be the wisest thing to do . . . on the other hand, it could help her dispatch all of the baddies who have descended on the farm, thus making it safer for Amy and Lizzy to carry on with their lives without any threats against their safety and wellbeing.

Danielle wants to attract the intruders' attention in hopes of drawing them away from the secret room in the lower level of the barn. Unfortunately, there are several ways this tactic could backfire. As we have seen, Danielle can be distracted by her baser instincts, and that could lead to disaster.

She's caught up in the violence that can be so seductive to a vampire. It has only started, and Danielle is beginning to lose sight of why she is fighting.
