I am starting to think you know almost nothing about how to strip some one of there culture every thing comes into play the food should be mostly starches and vegetables no proteins and no meats at all. also they should have bin shaved or at least had there hare cut to a uniform stile. and all personnel property taken. and they should if posable be separated and each given to a experienced slave for training.

Barry Longyear wrote an epic 'Manifest Destiny' which included 'The Jaren', a tale of Terran intrusion and subsumation of alien culture. The epic also included 'Enemy Mine'. This reminds me very much of the the Shikari in 'The Jaren' dealing with the human invasion...

They are fresh from a communal village...sharing meals is normal for them...poor things...this isn't going to go well I suspect...

I concur, what is it? The only thing that I recognize for sure is mustard. There also seems to be bread slices on the plate although that seems like a lot of bread. I'm not sure I'd trust this food either!

It's good that they like the food. Even if it's way more delicious than they're used to, a sudden diet change (especially from bland to rich) makes a lot of people sick. And some people, especially their age, would downright refuse it.
