About the story/setting rant:
I am going for a through-the-eyes-of-a-lesser-demon story. Demons are incredibly popular in webcomics and stories in general. The demons always seem to be the pale goth person with wings type taking on angels. I thought I would be amusing to try something different.
Other then the title I don't even have the word “demon” to call these creatures. (Monster Eater was an alternative title. Demon seemed more fitting become of the cruel nature of the world.) As far as I know, the place doesn't have the souls of evil humans suffering nor the big guy in red(or perhaps our main character is so insignificant it would not ever be aware of this.) I've seen Yu Yu Hakusho. I guess the “Demon world” of that place is a better description of the setting of Demon Eater compared to Hell.

personally, I think the souls of evil humans could very well take the form of this world. It is certainly a horrible place to be...starting off as a bacteria, eating your way into a larger existence, which proves to be a greater challenge and frightening experience the further you progress.

using the word "Demon" instead of monster does make a real difference although I can't tell you what...cause I really don't know myself...it just sounds better to me. as for the place...your making an orignal story (not saying anyone who does use "hell" is not original) so maybe it is better that you simply make a world full of demons and set that world to your point of view of what one would be like.

Demons don't have to be from Hell. They could just be demons, living in a demonic world of horror! =D ~Lawnie

The water colors are interesting, I was never apt with them, you do a fantastic job with the blends and the thickness.
