On a side note… some people have commented to me that DiCL resembles a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Really, only the first three chapters (to me) read like a DnD adventure, in part because they were actually navigating a “dungeon” with monsters and traps. But because of that comparison, I've included as a character my own very first DnD character, a Thief named Calac that I played as a teenager. Gives you a clue to my age that he was a Thief and not a Rogue… the Rogue class came later. I enjoyed playing more for the charisma and intelligence skills… he was more of a fast-talking con man than a back-stab from the shadows type.

Brio, the laconic elf with the big sword, was played by my brother.
